News from Canevel Spumanti

On the occasion of the 56th edition of Vinitaly, Canevel Spumanti, the château of Valdobbiadene within the Masi Group, unveiled new products that reinforce its premium positioning.

During the international wine and spirits exhibition, the company introduced the restyling of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Setàge, a benchmark of Canevel production, and unveiled the new San Biagio Brut Nature Valdobbiadene DOCG sparkling wine.

In particular, the Canevel Setàge, in its Brut and Extra Dry versions, will be presented at Vinitaly with a new customized and distinctive bottle, both in shape, reaffirming the brand's placement in the realm of premium sparkling wines internationally, and in the American baga style, on which the Canevel logo is engraved. Moreover, the latter has undergone a restyling, adopting a lighter and more contemporary lettering, as clearly seen on the label, and the collar at the base of the elegant black capsule features a new emblem-crest that recalls the "C" of Canevel and the profile of the panoramic hill that stands near the winery in Valdobbiadene. Even the Setàge logo has undergone a slight evolution, making it more visible on the label, affirming that the wine's style, as well as the company's production protocol, remain unchanged and identity-affirming: a slow sparkling process, at low controlled temperature, using the company's selected yeasts, to obtain bubbles as fine and elegant as silk.

Canevel's range is further enriched by the new San Biagio Brut Nature Valdobbiadene DOCG, made from pure Glera grapes from the hilly vineyards of Valdobbiadene, made "sur lies" as per local tradition. The second fermentation, carried out in the bottle, gives this sparkling wine a unique personality: San Biagio is characterized by a fine and persistent perlage, a soft and complex taste, a long and savory finish, and - naturally - by the visible, tastable, and unmistakable presence of the un-disgorged yeasts.

Federico Girotto, President and CEO of Canevel Spumanti, commented: "San Biagio Brut Nature: a 'Prosecco with sediment' in limited edition, which expresses the essence of the oenological heritage and winemaking tradition of Valdobbiadene, combining the care, naturalness, and authenticity of the past with a contemporary approach, to obtain a highly original tasting result and a personality designed for the most discerning palates". San Biagio Brut Nature will be available for sale from July 1, 2024.

Another novelty from Canevel is the 2023 vintage of Rosa del Faè: the sparkling wine made from pure Marzemino grapes is presented in a transparent champagne bottle, which enhances its bright pink color more distinctly.
