An historic vineyard with a reputation for quality recorded as far back as the XII century. Located in the Torbe suburb of Valpolicella in the district of Negrar at an altitude of 375-400 m s.l.. Facing south-west with vineyard rows planted north-south. Good ventilation. Red hillside terrain composed of marly limestone and basaltic toar from the Eocene era. Dry stone walls (marogne) shore up the terraces and the ground is covered with rich, deep and fresh humus.
The Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes produced here are dried on bamboo racks (arele) in technologically well-equipped drying lofts near the vineyard.
The Amarone this vineyard makes, called Campolongo di Torbe, is extremely elegant, rich and well-balanced, with a characteristic fine almond bouquet.
