The panel judging the 27th edition of the Vinitaly Design International Packaging Competition organised by Veronafiere-Vinitaly, has awarded the Fresco di Masi Rosso Verona IGT 2022 “Label of the Year 2023”.
For Masi, this is a prestigious recognition that confirms the company’s commitment to sustainability. Indeed, Fresco di Masi will be available in the brand new “Masi Bottle”, an innovative project developed in collaboration with architect and designer Piero Lissoni and Verallia, an international point of reference in the design and supply of glass containers.
Raffaele Boscaini, Masi’s Marketing Director said: “Just a few days after the launch of Vinitaly, where we will be presenting our latest initiatives to the international markets, we are extremely proud to receive this important award from Veronafiere-Vinitaly. With Fresco, Masi seeks to offer the market a product that interprets the changed habits of the consumers of today and tomorrow. It is a wine obtained "with less” and therefore which avoids all steps and interventions that are not absolutely essential. Only native yeasts, no ageing, decanted and not filtered. Its label and packaging are also a clear reflection, consistent with this new message. It is a very much identifying image for Masi, revised in a “pop” version that dresses a more sustainable (insofar as lighter) bottle assuring a high impact thanks to its form and transparencies, achieved by international designer Piero Lissoni”.
The Fresco di Masi naming and label project was pursued by the agency MA! design & partners of Milan. The new identity reinterprets the original design of the company’s icon wines, with a strong personality enhanced by the new bottle, which increases the “size impression”.
