An exclusive location in the luxury Maximilianstraße offers a unique way to try the wines of the Masi Group: combining them with other ingredients to offer further exciting tasting opportunities
Masi, the leading producer of Amarone in Valpolicella Classica, is renovating its branded 'Masi Wine Bar Munich' located at the well-known 'Campari Haus' address in Maximilianstraße, the exclusive luxury shopping street in the city centre.
Design changes focus on fitting out the entrance area as a cocktail bar, in line with the decision to add mixology, with an extensive cocktail menu prepared by a team of expert mixologists, to the menu. In addition to the great classics of the cocktail world, there is a wide and original range of signature drinks with a Masi wine as the main ingredient, such as the house Negroni, the Milano Verona based on Campofiorin, Bitter Campari, China Liqueur and soda, and the highly original Rose-It! based on Rosa dei Masi, Mermaid Pink Gin and raspberry shake. Naturally, the wine list remains unchanged, with over 50 labels from the Verona-based winery, including a unique collection of vintage Amarones, also available by the glass.
Alongside unfailing classics such as risotto all'Amarone Costasera, the menu changes with the addition of simpler, more shareable dishes, in line with the culture of the Italian aperitif: traditional Venetian cicchetti or Lessinia cured meats, for example, sliced specially for each customer on the elegant Berkel machine that dominates the new bar counter. The leitmotif is wine, which also becomes an ingredient in dishes that follow the rhythm of the seasons and are based on a selection of quality raw materials. There are also daily specials, business lunches, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.
“There is no more suitable location than Maximilianstraße for Masi’s new experiential format, namely mixology. As we develop new, friendly, and inclusive ways of trying our wines, in an exciting urban atmosphere, the 'Masi lover' understands that this is another ideal habitat for our brand, proving its extreme versatility.””.
The Masi Wine Bar Munich, recently awarded a prize by Gambero Rosso's "Top Italian Restaurants" guide, is dedicated to the most authentic Italian wine and food experiences abroad. It now has a more original and eclectic concept, combining the elegance of a traditional Italian wine bar and restaurant with a more international and lifestyle cocktail-lounge format. A unique concept in the restaurant world, this is a further extension of the Masi Wine Experience, a project with sees Masi opening the doors of its historic premises and other exclusive venues to the public, offering tours and tastings, wine shops, food, events and guest accommodation.
With the arrival of the summer season, the Masi Wine Bar Munich welcomes guests not only in the dining room, but also in its friendly inner courtyard and seating area outside: the large glass doors at the entrance are opened to transform the bar into a lively meeting point for Maximilianstraße.
