Monteleone21

Logo Monteleone21

250 years after the Boscaini family's first harvest, ‘Monteleone21’ is born: the new Masi headquarters that will soon open its doors to welcome the public and accompany them on a discovery of the lands of Amarone and Valpolicella Classica.

Designed to blend harmoniously into the Valpolicella landscape, the building is two-thirds underground and has the outward appearance of a grassy hill covered with vines and vegetation. The local stone cladding recalls the ‘marogne’, the dry stone walls that are so typical of the hilly vineyards in the area.

Monteleone21 is an ‘open cellars’, designed to give visitors an immersive experience. At its heart is a spectacular 12-metre-high monumental ‘fruttaio’, used to dry the grapes for Amarone, and the Agorà: a space of over 1,000 square metres with a striking exposed concrete ceiling, inspired by the works of Pier Luigi Nervi and Le Corbusier, which houses the wine shop, wine bar and restaurant.

Sustainability and innovation guide every aspect of Monteleone21, from its integration into the landscape to the use of renewable sources such as photovoltaic and geothermal energy, and the reduction in energy consumption.

Monteleone21 has won in the category of "Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices" in the prestigious Best of Wine Tourism competition, promoted by the Great Wine Capitals (GWC) and the Verona Chamber of Commerce.
